www.korpita.com.Artist0Statement:
As a full-time artist born, raised and currently residing on the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast, my art is greatly influenced by my Southern Culture.    I am fascinated by ordinary, everyday people - their expressions, beliefs, quirky eccentric habits and their often neurotic relationships  with their pets and each other.  The human figure is my favorite subject and in my paintings, no one is self conscious of their body - they have made peace with it and are just carrying on with life.
